Message I'd go the "that's not supposed to be in there" route.

The TT Z32 in a 240Z was pretty cool, and so was the 4-cyl Skyline turbo into the roadster.

I've seen IMSA v8s in camaros, and a Porsche 936(?) water cooled heads, race motor crammed into a C-4.

With that thinking:

4-cyl Skyline motor into a 510
6-cyl Skyline motor into a 240Z

4-cyl M3 motor into a pre 73 2002.

TwinTurbo Infiniti Q45. I figure you can use a ton
of stock Z32 parts, and still get 450-500 hp.

I'd try to keep the motor/chassis from the same manufacturer. But that's not always best/most fun.

Eclipse Turbo motor and AWD under a 510. :) hmmmm

Since I'm in California, anything before 1973 doesn't get smogged. :)
